Trauma-Informed Clinical Psychology
MIDLANDS

Welcome to Hummingbird Psychology!

Based in the Midlands, Hummingbird Psychology is a Clinical Psychology service offering therapeutic support to children, young people, and families. We offer a range of services to support individuals experiencing psychological distress, in addition to those supporting and caring for them. We work directly with children and their parents/carers offering psychological assessment and therapy, and indirectly with various education, health and social care professionals offering training, psychological consultation, and supervision.

At Hummingbird Psychology, we believe that no child is an island. We understand that children do not exist in isolation of their relationships and environment. As such, we are committed to trying to bring all aspects of a child’s world together in attempt to better understand and meet their needs. We are attachment and trauma informed and feel passionately about seeing and understanding a child’s needs and presentation in the context of all of their experiences.

We understand that a young person’s experiences can shape their identity and the beliefs they hold about themselves and others. Neurodevelopmental differences, such as Autism can also influence how an individual develops and the way in which they see the world. At Hummingbird Psychology we work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to offer private assessments to screen for Autism in children and adults, in an attempt to help them better understand themselves.

We work across Warwickshire and Leicestershire and are able to offer face-to-face and remote services to best suit the needs of the families, professionals, and services we support. We are compassionate and friendly and pride ourselves on providing a safe and supportive therapeutic space, without judgement.

We would love to hear from you! Please get in touch to find out more about how we might be able to support you.
